Why Holding Hearts?

Lots of people ask why we chose to provide resin hearts.

Leaving the hospital empty-handed after being told you’ve lost a baby was incredibly distressing. We thought it was important to have a small keepsake which could be help in the palm of your hand to remember your baby.

Small and smooth

Our hearts fit perfectly in the palm of your hand so are perfect if you want to carry one around in a bag or coat pocket.

Colourful and unique

Our hearts are made by hand and each one is made slightly differently so that you can choose a unique heart which best reflects your baby.

Locally made

It’s important that those behind our charity are passionate about what we’re trying to achieve. Our hearts are made by one of our trustees and a lovely local business.

Who can get a heart?

Our hearts are available for anyone who has lost a baby at any stage of pregnancy and feels they would benefit from receiving one.

As well as supplying hearts and books to the hospital, we are now able to post hearts out to those who would like a memory heart for their baby.
